Carrera crossfire 2 help

Hi
I have just been to halfords and seen the carrera crossfire 2
With disk brakes and front suspension
On sale for£299 down from £480.
What I would like to know is this bike a good buy for my first
Hybrid bike and is the price good

    If you are only going to be riding it on the road, then disc brakes are good, suspension is bad, get a Subway instead. If you want to use it on some light off-road riding too, then it should be OK. A workmate has one and it seems quite reasonable, if a little on the weighty side due to the fork.

    It's only worth about £299 anyway, nobody would pay £480 for it, that's just a marketing ploy by Halfords.
