Replacement Wheelset

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a budget 26" wheelset with ideally cartridge bearings and a freehub body that is serviceable/widely available to replace?
I've got a set of Flows with Hope Pro 2 Evo's on my other bike which would be perfect but just more than I want to spend (aka more than I have to spend) on the commuter mtb.
thanks,
Dan

If Flow's would be ideal then I'm guessing tough AM riding or Downhill?

I more meant that i love my Hope Evo hubs ...and it is a commuter mtb but dont like to limit the possibilities as a change of tyres can see a bit of XC.supersonic wrote:How budget is budget? What axle standards do you need? Are you a heavy rider?
Yes to the heavy rider..... i think...... about 90-100kg
as for budget what im actually looking for is the cheapest I can get that fit the requirement (9mm QR btw) as im buying parts for the other bike at the moment and this was an expense I didnt count on

Are not light, but cheap:

These are decent wheels too:

But heavier than they quote, more like 1900g a pair.
Also look at the Mavic Crossride.0 -
Super cheap and pretty cheeful actually!

But cup and cone. I like them though.0 -
Think I'd go for the Shimano/Mavics too as if you go for the XCX another £70 would get you a set of Crests or Flows...would be way too tempting for me!"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

that price is for a pair?! ...im guessing thats an easily replaceable shimano freehub?

I have 2 bought used Shimano M475 hubbed wheels on my commuter, the front has done over 3,500 miles (cost a tenner) since I bought it the rear has done nearly 3000miles and cost me £4.....how cheap did you want?
I'd go with these http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/w ... lizer.html worth rebuilding with a thicker grease before using though and you'l need centrelock discs (wheelset is about 1916g)Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
