Creaking From Front

Modern bikes seem to have past me by a bit (a far cry from when we were kids and used to make bikes out of bits from the tip) so if this is a basic question I apologise in advance.
My bike is about six months old now (Allez Sport) and the last couple of weeks it has started creaking from the front on fast descents (possibly the only time I go fast!). Is this something I should worry about / get fixed or is it normal wear and tear that maybe needs an adjustment or something.
Sorry if it's a bit vauge, creaking was about the best way I could describe it.
Cheers in advance.

It should be investigated. Could be many things - most likely to be the headset, stem or bars.
Easy to adjust those and see if it stops.I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -
As above, check the bolts on the stem (both ends) to ensure they are not loose.
The headset is a little more involved (depending on type) but assuming you have a basic threadless you can take off the top cap and check the headset is not getting loose inside. This involves a few basic steps in a specific order so have a look at youtube and park tools to get the idea.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
Also check tightness of your front wheel quick-releaseMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I had a similar problem. Loosened off the stem bolts (made sure everything was loose by moving the handlebars with the front wheel held between my legs), then gave the top bolt a quarter to half turn. Re-aligned the bars and tightened the stem bolts. Creaking gone.0
