Cycle computer wheel sensor
HI All,
I've managed to lose the small sender that attaches to the spoke. I don't really want to change the computer as it was a best man present from my brother.... I assume it is just a wound ferrite core? If that is the case will the sensor on the fork pick up anything of the same ilk (if I were to by a cheapo one and just use the sender) would that do the job or does it have a resonance to match?
Cheers
Lee

Are you sure its not just a magnet? If so, get one of these from Wiggle http://wiggle.britishcycling.org.uk/cat ... el-magnet/WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Oh great Ok, maybe I should learn not to complicate things!! I might run a magnet past the sensor and see if that works in the first instance.... I thought it was magnetized ferrite....I'll give it a go!!0

Dont attach a magnetised ferret to your front wheel - well thats what i read it as !0

i just use a small rare earth magnet, you get several on ebay for the same price as a 'proper' spoke magnet, attach to spoke with tape or gel superglue, much neater than the big clamp-on lumpsmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
