I have a Scott Speedster 50 and have just got my first puncture :(. I have been looking for an inner tube, can anyone tell me if a 700 x 18/28 fit ok?
Many thanks

  • what's the tyre width? if it's between 18 and 28 it will be fine, probably go bigger without any issues too.

It has 700 x 23c on the tyre
  • it will be fine then, the numbers on the tube gives a range of tyre sizes it will work with, the 18-28 means it will work with tyres from 700x18 to 700x28. These are recommended sizes but not gospel, the tube would probably be ok going up to 32.

Don't forget the valve length can vary too.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

...and there are two kinds of valve on tubes, Presta or shrader. Presta is normal for road bikes with the screw top to open the valve, shrader is the same as a car valve and is used on hybrids/MTB's etc and is determined by the size of the hole in the wheel rim.
my isetta is a 300cc bike
