bottom bracket problem

The bottom bracket has started to creak and click while i am riding my 2012 giant defy 1, it only seems to do this when i am out of the saddle, but i have heard it a couple of times while seated. I had the bike on a trainer the other night i was riding while my wife listened for the noise, she confirmed that the creaking and clicking was comming from the bottom bracket area. I tried re greasing the pedal axles and re-tightening the pedals, but it is still making the noises, so i guess it is the bottom bracket. Seeing how i am not that technically minded, could someone on here please advise me on possible causes and how to rectify it. i think i heard somewhere that its a press fit 86 bracket, if that means anything to anyone.Is it easier to change the whole thing for a different, more reliable model?

    If it is a press fit, and it's a couple of years or so old, and the bike has seen a fair bit of wet riding, then it's probably dead. Just get a new one.
