Can I use shimano ultegra DI2 on my Cervelo R3

will a Shimano DI2 work well on my R3 since the cable routing is not internal, and will it last long?

    Well the Garmin Sharp team seem to be running Di2 on their R5s (also not intended for electronic shifting). So my guess is that it works pretty well on that frame(well enough to win a stage with anyway). But obviously they probably don't care too much about long term use.
