Chip in Carbon Frame

After coming back off my Sunday morning ride yesterday I noticed I’d got a small chip on my Focus Evo. The chip is on the down tube but is noticeable as it’s on the white Focus graphic

A little annoyed as I’ve only had the bike since the end of March but these things happen so I’ll live with it. I’ll keep an eye, hopefully it won’t become a major issue

I’ll try and get a picture up later if poss, in the office at the moment

I know that protective tape is an option but is there anything else that I could use like a lacquer or can the chip be repaired?

I've got some chips on my trek madone, I'm just waiting to hear back from trek as there is a 12 month paint warranty! I'll let you know if they do anything! Otherwise I was just going to touch it up.

It's a bike not a military vehicle. I'd be amazed if their paint warranty covers stone chips!

If you want to see if it's the carbon frame or just the paint, grab a coin and hit it in the area where the crack is. Then hit it in another area which isn't damaged at all(on the frame, obviously). If it sounds the same you haven't got a problem. If it does sound different, it's a crack in the carbon which may get bigger over time, due to movement. You could also try applying pressure to the area and if it bends a lot, you know it's cracked.
