Route from Conwy - Llanberis

Hi long time member of the site but I don't usually post.
I'm in Conwy north Wales for the week and am looking for some recommended routes. I would like to do the Llanberis pass but I am unsure as to which direction to approach it. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you want to climb the Llanberis Pass, you'll want to approach from the north west. Looking at the map, the pass runs south east.
You can use the cycle route NCN5 to get from Conwy to Bangor, then either head inland or continue down towards Caernarfon before turning in for Llanberis.
When you get up and over the pass, you'll end up at Pen y Gwryd. You can either go right, and descend the Gwynant Pass, the loop round to Beddgelert and North towards Caernarfon again, or left and a lovely fast descent (feels fairly flat but it's not) to Capel Curig. Here, once again you've got some great choices - left up the Ogwen valley, through Bethesda and back towards Bangor, or right to Betws y Coed. From Betws, you can head north through Llanrwst and back to Conwy, but if you do this, go for the smaller road on the west side of the river, the B5106, rather than the busier A470.

Thanks for the replies. I went up Llanberis today I went over to Caernarfon and then up Llanberis from there I came back through Capel Curig , llanrwst and back to Conwy. Wonderful ascent and an absolutely beautiful day to do it. I will try Sychnant tomorrow thanks for the advice
