Just wondering how others got on in the Liverpool Chester challenge. I thought it was the hottest one I've done, totally shattered at the end after a good start. Liverpool to the Countess in 1 hr 26 and 6hr 15 overall. good marshalling and signs , no one seemed to get lost. Any different experiences?

So that's why all the caution cyclists were up in Chester today. Is the ride where you go thrugh the tunnel?0

yeah both ways though the Birkenhead tunnel this time,it's weird you keep thinking that a car or a truck is going to come past , but there aren't any. its great0

You would have gone past my house on Bedford rd rock ferry, just past the train station, I watched everyone go past from 7.30 am, it is 2years to the day that I watched the riders going past , and thought I want to do that, so on the 11 th of July 2011 I gave up smoking and got a bike in the November, and have been cycling on and off since, but since April this year have started training for a jogle in 2015, so thanks to the Liverpool to Chester sportive, I am a healthier than ever before.
I must say though the number off riders must be increasing, because the queue from the lights in Bedford road when on red , came right down to my house, never seen that before.
Well done to all who took part, in what was a sweltering heat. 8)

the numbers were so big going up past the station that there was an off when one could squeeze past an on coming bus.
It was roasty toasty today - oddly the organisers chose to filter riders into one of 2 lanes in the tunnel which made it a bit more edgy than normal as the slower riders slowed up blocking both lanes,
Still hate going through that farmyard though.
I heard there were a few missed turns on the 100 ride as well. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns

I did the 50 mile ride and it was good 1st time iv'e done it. Rode in a group of 5 from the club. We did get a few telling off's for riding too fast from other rider's but that's our normal pace which the compare at the tunnel said what to do.
Got to Chester in 1hr 18min as it was completely flat but on the way back took a little longer because of a few hills a puncture and a wrong turn, so 2hr 50 in total so not too bad.
Cleat i'm sure you would of seen us in our HMCC kit? You could of come over and said hello.0 -
I saw one in club kit at the start he was with 2 others who werent in kit and a few more in the queue. I had my kit on too - i'll post a pic of the CB badge i've sown into itThe dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
