OK

Unless there is a precedent for this, and on the basis that it's only a silly game, I suggest the following.

Tell me who you were going to pick and I'll accept it

If you've already picked you're stuck with that pick.

No picks accepted after the stage finishes.

Seem fair enough?

Neutralise the stage. (Unless Voeckler is in the front group)

That has a certain "open another beer and go back out to the BBQ" appeal to it.

Neutralise it - fairest for everyone. (no way I'd have picked Valverde before the stage started! ;) )

Very happy with your avatar now eh!

Oh and neutralising seems reasonable in the circumstances.

Looking at the PTP thread, two people picked Martin and nobody else scored anything. I reckon those two should get their points. Nobody really missed out much.

Those that got their picks in - give them the points. Others, unlucky.

    That's a neutral statement, as I don't play :-)

For what it's worth I don't care what you do. I'm like Cofidis, I'm not in it to win, just to... well I don't know why I'm in it actually... :?

I thought 'PTP' and 'Crash' couldnt occur in the same sentence - Alan A got told off for his geraint crash thread the other day

afx is only happy if one person finishes TDF PTP

Can I pick Dan Martin for today please?

I say award the points. Those who picked Dan Martin made a great call and deserve them. Those that suffered a racing incident are just unlucky.

I don't get points either way.

What happened? I was too busy watching the race (all day)! Anyway I picked Dan :D so I want my points - I get few enough of them anyway as I refuse to pick THAT team's riders. :!:

Award the points, those that picked Martin got in a successful early break. Those that got held up behind the crash, tough luck, that's racing.

I picked Ryder by the way - wrong Garmin guy :-(

Actually, that would be andrewgturnbull - PTP was his idea. I'm more like that guy who went up the Tourmalet in a blizzard, got lost, almost died, and then thought "wow, this is a great place for a bike race!"

I do play but couldn't get in.
Tried again as the Neutral flag went down and said bucket, should have done it last night.
The offer made in the afternoon would have meant me cheating if I had played.
So IMO. if you got in before the crash, your in, otherwise like me you missed the cut off point.
Well you missed the boat so catch the next one. please
