Creating a circuit/route online

I have tried and tried and am failing..........I have been out on a ride today, I want to map my ride, find out the exact mileage, perhaps the elevation etc...I am using bikehike, please feel free to suggest an alternative if you think its better.....my failure is around the fact that I can not get the program to do a simple loop for me...........anyone help with this???

it should be much easier than that though, it kind of worked on the ridewithgps site, and I also have the strava app on the S2 now so I will see if the GPS signal is strong enough up here to track me for the route next time I am out0
