I wondered if there were any Nissan Qashqai (5 seat) owners or ex-owners who could comment on how practical they are for transporting road bikes? In an ideal world it'd be big enough to fit the bike in without taking the front wheel off but I'm guessing it's borderline (I tend to be a size L/57 in road bikes)...

Never tried the road bike in mine, but was tight with the MTB without taking the front wheel off. With the slimmer bars on a road bike you may get away with it. I ended up with a roof carrier

I had one as a rental job through work once for a couple of days, and my 56cm BMC didn't fit without taking the front wheel out.

Front wheel though only takes a second to remove :-)
