Xt front mech question

Hi running 36-24 front chainset and want to add new XT front mech but it says in info that works with big ring 44-38t, surely this would still work with my chainset item below .

    I assume that's meant for 'proper' doubles. Is yours a converted triple?

    If so, I'd buy a triple, use the stops and save a few quid. Would allow you to go back to triple should you wish too.

    Probably if everything else fits in with your frame. But it's also OOS.
