Hello Guys,
I am using this setup in my Spark 900 RC race bike:
- Front: Schwalbe Rocket Ron Snakeskin 29" Tire Black, 29 X 2.25, Folding
- Rear: Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" SnakeSkin Tire Black, 29" X 2.25" Tubless Ready Folding
This tires are really good in "zero punctures" i am riding it for 3 months and zero punctures ultil now.
But this setup is a little heavy. I am looking for a new setup (tubeless ready) tires to save weight on the wheels.
i am using a Mavic SLR wheelset with tubeless.
my main use is races, xc.
please guys i need help to choose a new and lighter tires but with same resistence against punctures of this ones that i am already using.
Thanks !

Njee is your man for this, personally I wouldn't call either tyre heavy.
Tubeless often works out heavier than lightweight tubes.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
They're about as light as you'll get without compromise.
You could go non Snakeskin, but it doesn't save a vast amount and compromises durability. Or you could go for a Furious Fred, or the new Thunder Burt, but neither are as grippy. You won't get something that weighs less, and has comparable levels of grip and puncture protection.
SLRs aren't light, I'd be looking there if you really want to save weight.0 -
You could drop from 2.25 to 2.10, they would be lighter.
The have all of the weights on the schwalbe website:

Talking grammes though, and there's evidence that 2.25s roll quicker.0
