Got one of these on my bike and they're great, don't know the answer to your question though, sorry!!

Why not phone someone like CRC and ask them :)

Erm, I think the clue's in the name, and you'll find it's 30mm!

The 30 refers to the diameter of the BB.

The 30 refers to the diameter of the spindle, which is what I thought the OP was asking. This from Cannondale's website:

    The Birth of BB30.

Never lose sight of where it all began...In 2000 while the industry standard bottom bracket spindle diameter was still 24mm, Cannondale introduced our System Integrated (Si) crankset designed in conjunction with an oversized bottom bracket shell and 30mm spindle, further reducing weight and increasing stiffness. It debuted at the Tour de France.

Erm, I think he didn't realise that (nor did I for that matter), hence his question

I've got a 30pf bottom bracket and the k force has a bigger spindle than mine so need to find out if can get a bigger one . The 30 bit refers to the outer diameter of the bottom bracket
  • The "30" bit does not refer to the outer diameter of the BB. It refers to the diameter of the crank spindle as others have already said.

30mm is the nominal diameter of the spindle, that's why it's called BB30 - the bottom bracket shell ID is 41.9mm and the bearings are 30 ID x 42 OD x 7mm
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

PF30 uses a 30mm spindle too but the BB shell is even bigger at 46mm diameter.

They're all listed here including the fact that all BB30/PF30 uses the same size of spindle and bearings.
