I see that Cav is now within 35 points of Sagan today.

Could someone please either point me at a site where point-allocation is explained, or explain them here?

i.e., points for a stage win, points for intermediate sprints (?), points for not wearing black socks or ( :shock: ) blue shoes, points for sex appeal, etcetera.

okay I am joking about some of those.

For the “flat” stages (1,5,6,7,10,12,13,21) 45,35,30,26,22,20,18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2 points for the first 15 riders
For the “hilly” stages (2,3,14) 30,25,22,19,17,15,13,11,9, 7,6,5,4,3,2 points for the first 15 riders
For the “high mountain” (8,9,15,16,18,19,20): 20,17,15,13,11,10,9,8,7, 6,5,4,3,2,1 points for the first 10 riders
For the individual time trial stages : 20,17,15,13,11,10,9,8,7,6, 5,4,3,2,1 for the first 15 riders
For each intermediate sprint, the first 15 riders to finish will receive 20,17,15,13,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 points respectively
