RIDE LONDON - strange email about withdrawal?

anyone else receive an email this evening apparently to "confirm their withdrawal from the ride" - I say "strange" because I haven't actually withdrawn at all and have not been online to do anything ie it can't have been "user error" by me.

I'm puzzled as to why I've received this. I've emaileed the helpdesk but as it only came in an hour ago they've all gone home for the night. Very strange, wonder if its real or a fake (does look real) and can only assume they've had some sort of system error - or perhaos there are two people with my initial and surname and the other does want to withdraw and they've sent this to the wrong person (seems v unlikely)

hmmmm, strange to say the least .... :?

  • All I can think is you haven't done the survey they emailed out as it stated if you didn't complete it your registration for the ride would be incomplete.
As long as you've done that I'd assume its an internal error

yeah I thought that but I did do the survey - assume you mean the transport survey, which I did online - and i booked a car park spot at one of the central london NCPs

hmm, we'll see what they say...

Had you received your start time before the withdrawal email?

    Hope it gets sorted ;-)

Its got to be a mistake, or because as has been pointed out, the survey wasn't completed fully.

However, if you booked a car park space, I imagine they take the payment then and there right?
So they can't really turn around and say otherwise because you clearly did it because you paid for a space.

I'm sure you will get it sorted out tomorrow.
They were quite quick when I e-mailed them before.
