Hi I'm riding a sportive this weekend and the site says I can download the route as a TCX file to my Garmin. I've never done this before but all that happens when I click download is that another web tab opens with a load of text in it. Can anyone help me?

Many thanks

Need to state what Internet browser your using ... IE / Chrome / Firefox etc... Each one downloads files slightly differently.. Also it may depend on your browser settings.

Your browser is opening the file, try to right click and depending on your browser, save target or similar to save the file.

Just tried it the page appears malformed, choose "save link as" works in firefox.

Internet explorer wants to download them as xml files which in reality is what they are . Choose save target as and ensure the file extension is tcx and not xml. Youmay need to do this manually.
