From those lovely people at Evans - I went for Scott Speedster 60 at 499 beer tokens! My first road bike.
What a difference from my old hybrid. Faster, twitchy and comfortable. Getting used to the drop bars at the mo so my neck hurts a bit, but I'll get used to it. Love flying past the traffic during my 11km each way commute.
Dont know if I can "winter-ize" it in the forthcoming months, so I might have to look at an Audax. But for now, in the "summer" (if you can call it that) its a perfect beast and already seen the benefits in speed and fitness, even after 2 weeks...

Nice one - very happy with my speedster, 2100 miles now on the clock since Sept last year, and about 1.5 stone lighter.0
