29er tire pressure

I know this is probably not a simple question to ask but, what tyre pressure would you recommend for rough cycle tracks? I've pumped them up to 35PSI and they are fairly firm!

Depends, start there and experiment lower. If you get pinch flats they're too soft.I don't do smileys.

Feel firm when you push them with your thumb, or feel firm to ride?
35psi is a bit high, 30psi would be my starting point on a 29er...Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
