Tyres for wide rims
Recently built myself a new front wheel with a Velocity A23 (23mm wide) rim.
I initially put a 23mm tyre on it, and it did noticeably flatten the profile of the tyre (which is supposed to be a good thing)
I replaced it with the 25mm (GP4000s) from my old front wheel. They seem massive!
Would you recommend using 23 or 25mm tyre on the wide rim?

Modern wisdom is that 25 is better than 23, regardless of rim.0

gp4 seasons 23mm on dt swiss 415 rim are 24.6mm wide no need for wider rims for me. the op's tyres could be 26mm wide now that is no bad thing.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
