Well folks it has been a while, I used to contribute to this board when I was based in Paris cycling into Guyancort from Versailles. After Paris it was Kiev, which you would only consider cycling in, if you are suicidal, truly horrendous, from there it was to Slavutich, where I was in walking distance of the office and if I needed to go to site I would get the train into Chernobyl. Now I am at Mochovce in Slovakia, gorgeous country similar to the Peak District in this part of it.

Last Friday I got a Dawes Clubman and I did my first commute on it today, I got my route wrong and instead of a three hour round trip I did five, great hills, beautiful scenery, I feel tired but exhilarated. I have a more direct route which I will use, it has heavier traffic but I will go early and leave late.

Glad to be back.

I remember you! Welcome back... What do you do to be based in so many different places?

Thanks, I am a contracts specialist on big engineering/construction projects 3years 9 months on the New Safe Confinement at Chernobyl and now on a reactor commissioning job in Mochovce, Slovakia. I am now trying to add photos as the scenery here is superb. Just some phone pictures but the plan is to do the loop with my proper camera.
