Hi

I seem to have acquired a clicking noise at the cage of my rear derailleur. It happens whilst pedalling and continues no matter what gear I'm in. The chain is within limits, could the jockey wheels be worn? Any ideas?

If you are positive the indexing is spot on then my money would be on a damaged side plate in the chain some where.

Can be a real nightmare to find them too. Clean the chain off and then inspect away.

May shift fine but could a very tad out of adjustment - try turning the barrel adjuster a turn or so and see what happens.

Took the jockey wheels off, gave them a clean and reassembled, hey presto, no clicking! Jobs a good'n.
