T'was a'rite. Didn't fall off. Didn't go massively quicker either. It has not transformed me into brad wiggins (or Pitt for that matter) and I don't think I'm any harder.....

More cyclists acknowledged me though. But that's because they're shallow....

i tried out SPD for the first time yesterday (well i did pootle for 1o mins the day before and fell off) no falling off, was marginally quicker, just trying to work out how to adjust the cleats, to ensure no aches in the side of my knees next.

Got my first clipless pedals on Friday - still not ventured out on them (mixture of not having had time and still fearing them!). Pleased to see you guys have had successful maiden voyages!! Good luck putting the miles in now!

my first outing on clips unclipped left and stopped bike then went right but managed to get the foot out using brute force before I went arse over tit. Same ride van came over a single track bridge as I was just coming over causing me to fumble a bit.

Rode some more. Flies too quick to catch. Threw my self on the ground when I finished as I didn't fall over again. I'm clearly not cut out for this....
