I've just read it again. Am I right in thinking that it's saying to start with the 1mm gap, then push the pads apart to just a fraction more than the thickness of the disc?0 -
Yep, just apart enough that you can fit the disc back in there.0

Cool, I'll give that a try then. I need to fiddle with the brakes anyway (the calipers aren't centred on the discs, the front hose is routed wrongly, and I want to try switching the brake levers and gear shifters round on the bars).0
