Assos bib shorts + rain!

Just received my order of my first ever Assos bib shorts from Wiggle (no Haribo but a free SiS drinks sachet )
I'd planned to wear them for the first time on my commute (28miles) into work tomorrow morning but the weather forecast is for rain!!!
Dare I wear my 120 quid bib shorts for the first time in the rain? Aaaaargh! Will they disintegrate in the rain just like carbon frame bikes do
Dilemma!

Be careful its not hot rain otherwise they will shrink to half their original size and with you in them it won't be a good look.Scott Speedster S20 Roadie for Speed

And, god forbid, I use them in winter when it's sub-zero temperatures. Then what????

MAMIL - guilty as charged.
But definitely not just a fair weather one
Although I may well be a fair weather Assos bib wearer
To be honest my Assos shorts only come out on a weekend ride, for my daily commute I use others.Scott Speedster S20 Roadie for Speed

I suspect on a regular basis then I'll probably save them for best/longest but I just wanted to try 'em having only just got them and not being able to wait until the weekend!Red Triban 3

I wasn't being (entirely) serious

So are normal everyday clothes. Do you wear your best suit out everyday whatever the weather or occasion?
For me my Assos bibs were a decent investment so I would like them to last a long time and just for decent long rides. Not a daily commute through London and bad weather.Scott Speedster S20 Roadie for Speed
