Chainrings double/triple.
I've been investigating what happens when I want to replace the chainrings on my ultegra triple.
Looking around it seems there are separate rings for double and triple cranksets. As I understand it, you need a triple specific ring for the middle to allow up and down shifts, but is there any reason that the outer ring would be different? Can I just use a double outer ring on a triple crank?

What BCD are they? Do they match? I see no reason why not if they do.Yellow is the new Black.0

Yes, both same bcd - 130 for double and triple, and both the same price.0
