Looks like a 1989 BFG to me.

Has it got ONCE on the top tube cant see as handlebars are in the way
and on the down tube does it say cu90 or 6061 looks about 2001
but i maybe wrong

Yep, as above. I used to have the black version which was a very nice bike. Wonder what happened to the forks though?

I'm assuming the fork was changed for a carbon one? Don't know, can't tell from the pic. It's a bike I'm thinking of buying as my first road bike opposed to getting a 2013 trek 1.1 for the same price, £300.

Are you asking what the bike is worth? Those threads are against the rules on here and the Moderator (Smidsy) will be along soon to ban you.

I'd offer £100 for the Giant. You could probably find better in a skip.

Didn't realise asking what a bike is worth is against the rules but either way I wasn't. I was just thinking out loud. Knowing the exact model and age will help me decide what it's worth.
