...from trying to remove KMC link on new 10speed setup (courtesy of new trek fuel ex9 with now broken RD after 3 rides)... any tips / advise on removing the pesky link... before i go and buy the park tool (if i can find one locally that is)...

If it is removable. Fold the chain around the link and use mole grips on each opposite corner push the correct way and it'll pop off no matter how stubborn it is being.0
