I'm thinking about using my MTB for commuting some days. It's a 29er with disk brakes. Does anyone know of a suitable hardwearing road tyre I can fit to it for the commute.
Also I happened to see Planet X are doing Shimano MT-55 and MT-66 29er wheelsets very cheap, are these wheelsets any good?
Thanks for reading.

700cx32 or 35mm and your good to go, massive choice out there!

For MTB wheelset advice, ask in the MTB section!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • Thanks for that. Had a look and Planet X are also doing the Vittorio Adventure 2 for 7.99 in a 700cx38, nice and cheap and looks to be hardwearing.

Sorry for incorrect forum use re the wheelset, will go over to MTB.
