I'm looking to get back into mountain biking, I owned a Carrera Fury a few years back, at the time they were said to be the best bike for £500.
I have £800 to spend this time round and came across this bike while searching the deal/sale sections on some websites. Will be mainly light trail riding, is this bike good for the money

I had one. Nice ride, very fast xc race bike. Just dont ride it hard, I snapped the dropout on mine.
It is a bit twitchy, very sharp steering.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
It's a good spec for the money with some scope for some reasonably priced upgrades as well, a friend rides an XtC, unashamedly a cross country racer in feel, he fitted some wider bars and a slightly shorter stem and its calmed it down a lot for more general use.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
