Boardman Carbon Forks Preloading?
I've recently got myself a Boardman Hybrid Pro.
I really like it, and been going over it getting it all set just the way I like it.
One problem I have is setting the loading on the bearings where the carbon forks connect to the frame.
One the Boardman there are a number of spacers and it appears that the handlebars set the loading onto the top bearing. Too loose and there's play when using the front brakes.
The thing is, when it came from Halfords it was creaking a little, so I undid the head and handlebar attachments to regrease, but it's not clear how the loading is reset.
I really don't want to take it back to Halfords, I would much rather a technical manual for the bike so I can do it myself.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Steve

But if you can get a mate who knows how to adjust a headset and show you all the better.
You really dont want to be riding too much with a notchy headset0
