kmc quicklinks
Just ordered a go faster super fast 10speed kmc chain from wiggle . Its comes with a quick link, the question is do I need the 'special' pliers to fit the chain ? If so any body in Woking willing to lend me theirs as it seems expensive just for a pair of pliers.

You defo don't need anything to fit it - just put it in place and turn the pedal with the back wheel fixed and it will click closed as the chain tensions.
Some say there's no need for the removal tool either as if you squeeze the side plates and push the ends together at the same time they open but personally I find them tricky when their lubed. I've found some sets are dead easy and others are a pita.0 -
Its pretty easy to remove them without tools - unless you have the pro version which is trickier.
I just put some latex gloves on to stop my hands getting covered in lube0 -

+1. Works everytime.0 -
While you need no quick link to fit the chain you may well need a chain tool to make the new chain fit your existing set-up. The new chain is likely to be longer than your old one and will need shortening.0

My KMC 11 speed link for my chorus chain was a pain in the arse to close, I used a couple of small allen keys in the chain to pull it closed, worked a treat0
