Changing SRAM Apex front derailleur cable
The outer cable housing had become damaged where it entered the adjuster on the downtube so I decided to fix it and replace the inner cable.
Having read about the problem you can get pushing the cable through the changer I then experienced it. However I solved the problem by unwrapping the bar tape up to the shifter - very easy then. My bar tape is not sticky so it can be re-wrapped.
