And it is a major ball ache to remove. Took me bloody ages.
If he rides his bike on the road, it's a good idea to have reflectors.
Idiots.
Just had a quick waggle on it - it's thin wibbly plastic, should take all of around thirty seconds to remove. We may be idiots, but you must be an incompetent...0 -

I removed my mates on his boardman! It put up a right battle as I couldn't get in deep enough to cut right through it! I ended up melting it to make a cut/gap down the last bit.0 -
Hi, to conclude this, the 591s were tested today and were fine!
I think I might put a bungee between the upper cross bars of the bikes next trip just to help arrest the wobble, however it was only slight.
Great tip thanks very much.0 -

I can assure you it's not a 30 second job with the wheel on, you have to cut right the way through it, and with the wheel on it's very difficult to reach.0 -
It's only thin plastic, would only take a few seconds to cut it off.0
-
I think you should do yours, video and time it showing the tools you use.0
-
My boardman , less than 2 mins with wheel off. No tools. Having said that I see no reason at all for taking the mick out of someone wanting to retain reflectors etc.0

I'm not bothered enough to video it, but I'll time it when I do it, lol.0 -
The pie dish is a nightmare to remove unless you take the cassette off.
I tried and gave up before fetching the whip and cassette tool. I haven't even bothered on wifey's new bike.0 -

I know exactly what you're on about. You're obviously just a tad incompetent, lol.0 -
Depends on the pie dish design.
Some are larger than the largest sprocket and quite brittle, these can be quite easy to remove. However, mine was actually smaller than the large sprocket, it was impossible to cut or snap, it just bent and deformed. I had to remove the cassette.Planet X Kaffenback 2

Pie dish to ex pie dish - 2 minutes 4 seconds (without removing the wheel). Ok, so that's not 30 seconds, but it's hardly a long time, and I was being ultra careful not to scratch the hub or any of the spokes, so could've done it quicker being less careful.

This (ex) one's a very flexible plastic.0 -
Kowalski , you beat my time by a few seconds! Thankfully other boardman components seem to be more robust.0

Lol. For the purpose it's designed for the dish itself is very robust - the plastic's that flexible that you'd never break it in use. Didn't put up much resistance to the spinning dremel of death though, lol...0 -
Dremel is cheating... You're disqualified.0

Er, no it's not - it's just applying a modicum of common sense, lol...0

Missed your chance there - you should have said even a little pussy can get it off.I don't do smileys.
