Cassette Spacers

Do I need different size spacers for SRAM & Shimano Cassettes? I don't seem to be able to find any Sram spacers online.

    exactly why?

    and ant think why you would need any other than fitting a 7 speed cassette to a 8/9/10 speed hub where you just add a 4.5mm spacer on first.

    Yes, it's to space for a 7 speed casette on a 9 speed hub.

    So I only need a 4.5mm and it doesn't matter who made it, they're universally compatible?
