My workplace has just started the cycle scheme and both myself and my Mrs are joining it. I've decided on the Rockrider 8.1 as I couldn't find a bike near that price that had components as good. The Mrs has opted for a 400 voucher. Been looking around and its looking like the rockrider 5.3. The most she would do on it is recreational riding really. Just light stuff, is there anything better spec wise for around the 350 or under mark as she wants some left over for a lock, helmet etc. Cheers guys

Are you actually going to commute on your cycle-to-work scheme bike?

    That would influence the choice...

Both are great value at their price points.

But what is best value for you depends on exactly what riding you'll both do.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
