I'm on the lookout for a 9-speed 12-27 cassette, preferably sram. The only ones Ive found are BBB, they are cheap and on ebay and amazon. Any experience with BBB cassettes? Are they as bad as some of the Amazon reviews make out?

Chain Reaction has Shimano Ultegra 12-27 9-speed cassettes on offer for £38.99

Still with CRC but a Tiagra HG50 12-27 9 speed cassette for only £15.99. Sram and Shimano are fully interchangeable.

As far as I can see Sram don't make a 12-27 9 Speed Cassette. There isn't one listed on their components page http://www.sram.com/sram/road/component/cassettes.

If you want Sram it seems like the closest you can get is 12-26, which a few places have in stock around the £21 mark.

If it was me I would get a Shimano 1. The lack of people coming on here to talk about BBB is all I need to know.

My brother uses BBB for racing a CX bike. He's pretty competitive ... and tends to go for good kit at good value - so I'd be happy to use BBB.

{edit} also looks like the BBB cassettes are loose/separate cogs - far easier for cleaning!
