I have just bought a set of these and as said they can be used tubed/tubeless.

I am going run these with tubes but a lot of chat on the net suggest some makes of tyres are very difficult to get on the rims.

So any advice on what tyres do work with these rims please.

I have done a search but a lot of results appear 3 or 4 years old.

I run michelin carbon krylion (or pro 4 endurance in their latest incarnation) and had no problems getting them on/off by the side of the road.
  • I had Bontrager race-lite and now vittoria rubino pro...both fine. I can't get them on by hand but using one lever is fine.

Thanks James and Andy, will add these to a short list.

Does anyone run Continental tyres on these rims ?

Yes - I use GP4000s 23's and had to use a lever (and fairy liquid) to get them on - there was no way I could do it by hand. Took a fair bit of fettling to get the tube/tyre seated correctly. Great wheels and a massive improvement from the OEM wheels.

As above GP4000s. I find new tyres need a couple of levers but it's not bad really - had worse. I find that after they've been on and off a few times I can manage by hand but it's hard this way and my thumbs will be a bit sore the next day. Still easier to use a lever for the last bit and save the pain

I have these wheels on my Virutoso, and they are pretty good. I'm another one of the ones running GP400s as well. They were hard to get on and off the first time round, but after taking them on and off a few times to change punctures it has become easier.
