Hi All

Looking at bleeding a set of Shimano M535 brakes and all the guides recommend using a spacer with the brake pads removed.

I do not have a spacer, what else can i use ? I do not want any oil to get on the pads.

Cheers

I would be very careful doing this. The pistons are sometimes made out of ceramic and can chip very easily you shouldnt be putting anything metal in there. I have used a piece of 10mm (3/8th) chipboard cut down to fit when I couldnt find the bleed block.

Have a look in your washing peg bag, some of the old wooden ones might do.
