New trail at Sandwell Valley, West Midlands
Just saw this announced on Chasetrails facebook. I've heard about it in the news over the years but was under the impression it had opened as when I went a year ago there was a semblance of a trail and I wrote it off as shit.
Anyway, it's officially opening this Sunday but its there now to be ridden. Main advantage is that it's in the heart of Birmingham and easy to get to for us city dwellers.
I've just got back from a quick blast and had some fun. It's only about 3km in total but is very twisty and they make good use of the length and there is never a dull moment. There are blue, red and black trails. I'm still a n00b so was too scared to go black and tried a red diversion which was fast and fun with loads of banked turns.
On the whole, think of it as a can of coke compared to the usual trail centre's freshly squeezed orange juice.
The car park is just off Park Lane, Handsworth near to Handsworth golf club.
I don't think it's worth travelling more than 10 miles for as it's nothing spectacular but it'll be a regular for me as it's closer than Cannock!

Rode it a couple weeks back. It's about a 10 minute loop. You should try the black bits, if you've gone round any of Cannock red you'll be fine.0
