twisted chain

I've just had my back wheel and rear mech off to give everything a good clean.. The chain was pretty black.

somehow I've twisted the chain. I've got everything back together and somehow imagined it would just sort its self out.. but it hasn't. Any suggestions?

I don't have a chain splitting tool..

As what Forward Loop said. Also, it's much easier to get a quick link and chain tool than take the rear mech off every time you need to clean the chain.
