Help Me Get My Wife Into Cycling

Having recently started road cycling I am keen to get my wife involved. I know she will love it but need to start off with getting her a road bike. Don't want to spend a fortune (as little as possible) but will upgrade her when she starts using more. If anyone sees a belter of a deal on Facebook or Gumtree let me know. Looking to spend no more than £200.

Why would you want to? Being out on the bike is time to yourself, away from that sot of stuff.0

good point but if she gets the bug then I will get more chance to get out myself0

For £200 you'll struggle a bit to get a new bike but you can just about do it.....

Spending a little more will get you something far more decent though....

Suggest how fit she would look in Lycra and that you can recoup the investment through Reader's Wives or You've Been Framed, whichever is more appropriate.0

Help me get my wife into cycling... Does that sound just a tad chauvinistic?0

£200 is going to get you a used cheap bike. You won't know the condition and do you really want to give your wife a "used" present? If you go for a new Decathalon and she doesn't get into it, you can recoup most of the cost by selling it as "nearly new".Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
Winter - Trek Madone 3.5 2012 with UDi2 upgrade.
For getting dirty - Moda Canon0 -

make sure the bike will also fit you so you have a nice new winter bike0 -
