Schwinn threadless headset

Hello all
I have pinched my old chaps Schwinn Moab to use and it has some play in the head set when you apply the front brake.
The headset is an ICBM threadless. I have removed the top cap and see that there is a hex head bolt head there, is it a case of just tightening that, or do I need to go further? There is also an extension piece attached, not sure if that makes a difference?
Cheers

Not sure exactly what you mean - a pic might help.
If it is a normal threadless system they work by undoing the stem bolt/s and tightneing the top cap to preload the bearings, then doing the stem back up.0 -
Tbh read the info on Parktools as if shows how it all goes together.
But as above for most threadless. If you need to change the bearings try a cane creek IS2"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
