Light lubricant

What light lubricant would you suggest for a little bits around the bike, cables, derailler springs etc?

Again, none of those bits need lubrication.
For bits that do like pivot points in mechs and brake levers a drop of chain oil is all good.0 -

Don't know about that as I'm not an expert but I presume there are different schools or aproaches. From what I came across on the internet some say you can and some like yourself say you don't.0 -
No, there is no need to lubricate a spring at all. Lube may however prevent rusting on the surface. Cables do not need lubricating unless there is some friction like for example if it is routed under the BB through a guide, there it is of use. Inside cable outers the grease which good ones come with like Shimano SP41 is good.0

I use light oil - 3 in 1 or sewing machine oil or cycle oil - all the same stuff depending on where you buy it, for mech pivots etc.
But I don't use chain oil.I don't do smileys.

Or just be intelligent and don't randomly spray aerosols at your bike. The clue is in the aero bit. Use specific lube where needed.I don't do smileys.

So I wouldn't use it. It's OK if you are super careful, but why bother when there are better delivery methods. People will sell anything if there's a market.I don't do smileys.
