Lube

Hi all

Im currently putting a bike together from scratch.

Could any one suggest good lube/grease i should use for crank, steerer tube etc.

Bit of a noob to this sort of stuff so would appreciated advice.

    on the off chance you really have no idea, have a read of Parktools and also the makers manuals for the parts you have.

    I'm doing my first full build from scratch, from what I have read just use 'weldtite water resistant teflon grease'

    It's cheap on eBay, and from what I've read it will do them job's just fine...

    Suppose it depends on what the manufacturers specs/docs specifically say for each component ur using...

    i.e.Carbon fibre will be different

    Sure but not required for the above.

    You don't grease your steerer, you don't grease your cranks.

    Some crank interfaces are grease some are not. Sterrers don't need greae. Bearings do.

    But giving advice without suitable starting info can be very dangerous. Or can create issues that can not be easily fixed.
