Crap afternoon

So after a disappointing race result at the weekend I was feeling a little bit sorry for myself but had the chance to have the afternoon off and all to myself, yeah great I get 6 miles out on the trails take a tight turn to go shooting off downhill and I get a massive bang and the bike goes everywhere, tyre torn from rim to tread no way a putting a tube in is going to fix that. It was a nearly new Rocket Ron but I think it took to much of a hammering on Sunday.
Had to walk 3 miles back to the truck before heading home, what a waste of the afternoon that was. Chucked spare Maxxis Crossmark on which went straight up and is still holding air without any sealant! Ordered a new Ron plus a Ralph as I've yet to try one but I might leave the Crossmark to see how it compares.

Yep it happens, just a pain when it was when I had a nice free afternoon and it went at exactly the furthest point away from my truck at least it wasn't raining. The Crossmark has since gone down, it won't need much sealant though unlike the Rons.0
