Interesting to note that Omega PQS have only a small squad at the nationals but obviously Sky have a large squad. Cav is going for the win but how will he do this with no lead out? Piggy back onto another team or hope to develop alliance with other teams?
All in all a fascinating duel is on the cards.

it will be 6 sky riders versus 5 other world tour team riders, plus the 4 Netapp Endura riders and all the domestic pros0
-
A Sky win then :-)0

2 is definitely a small 'squad' ! It's not like its going to be a 200 strong bunch gallop though.0

Would love to see Cav racing in TdF in the National colours (until he swaps it for green!) but winning will be a tough with so few (one) team mates. Guessing no one will want to take him to the finish either, so sky will make it hard for him, mind you he'll prob have some friends in the bunch, and its a flat course.
If he's there at the finish he can win without a lead out.
And what about the tt? Dowset to make it 3 in a row?0 -
The common theme since 2009 has been
- Cav's got a small squad, can he do it at the Nationals?
- I'm sure he can, it's going to be flat
- It's hilly
- He'll work with the other riders from IoM then
- They ride for Sky/Net App/Any other team
- Race starts
- Break goes
- Cav's not in it
- Sky/Net App/David Millar wins0 -
Missed the other thread then?“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Theres some serious hills in there. I think a break away with a few laps left is the likely outcome0

Any tv coverage?0
