I'm looking to replace my old Carerra Fury & I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've decided I'm going to do it through my works cycle scheme, so the places I can buy from are pretty limited & also the amount (£1k scheme allowance & possibly put a little myself, I know you aren't supposed to but hey!). I was initially looking to get the Cube but then I saw the Marin for a similar price, admittedly it’s last years model which isn’t a deal breaker as far as I’m concerened but the only review I’ve found relates to the 2009 model & is pretty lousy to say the least.
Back in the day Marin's used to be classed as good bikes but appear to have 'dropped off the radar' so to speak, I know that either are Infinitely better than what I currently have, can anyone please advise?!?!?!?
Thanks :)

Links would help. Marin do make excellent bikes but their cheaper ones have nasty spec.

  • Hay Im looking to do exactly the same thing! Same decision between bike on the cycle to work scheme! Any luck making your decision. I heard that stock is low of the cube, just the larger sizes 21" in cycle surgery. But the 2014 models are out soon isn. The Marin dose look a good buy with mixed reviews on the front handling. Dose it have a better component set than the Cube LTD considering its originally £700 more Lol ;)

The OP comparison was Marin Nail to the Cube LTD SL .... so be careful you guys are talking about the same bike as the SL has better kit and is around £300 more.

Assuming do you mean the Ltd (basic) model - is someone is selling the Nail 2012 29er @ LTD prices? (i.e. around £900/£1000). If so ... where? :)
